What is inside

Fifteen mysteries, decade by decade

The app follows the beads for you: you pray, it keeps the count.

  • The fifteen mysteries. Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious — the mysteries of the day already chosen when you open the app.
  • Guided decade by decade. The mystery announced, the Our Father, ten Hail Marys counted bead by bead, the Glory Be.
  • Latin and English. Each prayer in both languages, one above the other.
  • The Latin, recited. The Latin prayers read aloud, word by word, to pray along until you know them by heart.
  • The other devotions. The Angelus, the litanies and the traditional prayers of the Church sit beside the Rosary.
  • Offline and without advertising. Nothing between you and the beads.

Why fifteen mysteries

The Rosary of St Pius V

For four centuries the Rosary had fifteen mysteries, fixed by St Pius V in 1569: five joyful, five sorrowful, five glorious — a hundred and fifty Hail Marys, as the Psalter has a hundred and fifty psalms. The Luminous Mysteries were proposed in 2002; the app keeps the Rosary of 1962.

Each day has its mysteries: the Joyful on Monday and Thursday, the Sorrowful on Tuesday and Friday, the Glorious on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. The app chooses them for you.
